If you understand screen rulings, halftone angles, and traps, we want you on our team! Job ObjectivePrepare, optimize, and validate digital files for accurate reproduction on flexographic printing systems, minimizing plate errors and press downtime.Technical Responsibilities * **File Preparation:** Perform trapping (spreading), dot gain compensation, and color curves. * **Color Separation:** Handle color selections (CMYK), spot colors (Pantone), and varnishes. * **Negative/Plate Assembly:** Optimal layout during imposition (step & repeat), considering cylinder dimensions and gap. * **Quality Control:** Verify minimum text sizes, line thicknesses, and barcodes according to substrate. * **CTP Output:** Manage workflow for platemaking or photopolymer exposure. Candidate Requirements * **Experience:** Minimum 5 years in technical prepress (specifically flexography). * **Software:** Advanced proficiency in **Adobe Illustrator** (primary tool) and Photoshop. Familiarity with **Esko ArtPro**, **PackEdge**, or **PitStop** is desirable. * **Specialized Knowledge:** In-depth understanding of anilox rollers, screen rulings (LPI), plate-thickness-related distortion, and substrates (films, papers, corrugated board). * **Profile:** Methodical individual with strong attention to detail and ability to work under production schedules.
