**Job Description** ------------------------- Fully comply with the operational safety plan on site to ensure the safety of our employees and personnel within the airport, as well as implement necessary adjustments for its proper execution and monitoring. **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Direct supervisor of operational safety officers on site. * Ensure implementation of the PSOO / DC\-PSOO, as applicable. (Operational Safety Plan) * Suspend ongoing work when the PSOO and/or DCPSOO is violated. * Conduct assessments of planned work and its location, considering potential impacts on airport operations, for example: ✓ Critical sensitive areas and protected areas for navigation and instrument landing aids (surveillance radars, VOR, ILS Glide Slope and Localizer, etc.) ✓ Runway and taxiway protected areas ✓ Obstacle Limitation Surfaces ✓ Visual aids ✓ Meteorological facilities (wind direction indicators, RVR meters, cycloimeters, anemometers, etc.) ✓ Firefighting Service (SSEI) facilities and service roads ✓ Electrical power supply facilities and distribution lines ✓ Drainage system / sewers ✓ Among others. * Periodically identify specific circumstances at each worksite location to incorporate them into the PSOO / DC\-PSOO, if identified. * Keep the PSOO / DC\-PSOO updated and valid by implementing appropriate amendments. * Ensure all personnel associated with the project understand and apply the PSOO / DC\-PSOO content according to their level and involvement in its implementation. * Ensure the PSOO / DC\-PSOO remains valid in light of possible alterations or modifications to the project and/or airport operations. * Manage, until resolved, all incidents related to PSOO implementation known to the coordinator, regardless of how they were identified. * Identify activities associated with the project that impact or may impact safe aircraft operations. * Communicate and coordinate with Airport Management regarding special circumstances arising during the project that require issuance of a NOTAM. * Prepare all reports required under the PSOO. * Ensure the worksite and adjacent area are safe for operation through necessary inspections after each work shift and before final opening. * Attend and participate in all operational safety meetings related to the project, as well as any meetings convened by the airport or the external supervision company. * Continuously supervise contractor activities and identify any interference they may cause with airport operations. * Mandatory reporting of all unsafe events and consequences observed or identified to the airport’s Incident Notification System within no more than 24 hours after occurrence. * Mandatory reporting to the Incident Notification System of all hazards identified but not addressed by the contractor within 24 hours; at most within 48 hours after identification. **Job Challenges** -------------------- * Internally lead and manage all safety processes required by the airport to carry out construction work onsite; failure to do so could result in federal (legal) issues for the company. * Direct supervisor of two operations officers and liaison with the airport control tower, which authorizes machinery access and air traffic movements. * Ensure all personnel associated with the project understand the Operational Safety Plan and engage accordingly based on their individual job responsibilities. * Mandatory reporting of all unsafe events to the airport’s Incident Notification System within no more than 24 hours. **Required Skills and Knowledge** ------------------------------------------ Education: * Bachelor’s degree: Aeronautical Engineer. * English language proficiency: Advanced / Advanced technical and business English. Required experience: * Two years’ experience working on projects within airports. * Operational Safety Management System course. * Airside Operational Safety course. * Construction Operational Safety course. * Experience managing personnel. * Ability to work under pressure. Required knowledge: * Engineering, Construction, Project Management. Critical competencies: * Organization, discipline, responsibility. **Relationships** -------------- Internal: * Infrastructure Construction Director. * Pavement Management. * Site Superintendent.
