Summary: Seeking an experienced Launch Engineer to lead new product launches in the automotive Tier 1 industry, collaborating with cross-functional teams and OEM customers. Highlights: 1. Lead new product launches from pre-production to full-scale manufacturing. 2. Collaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain teams. 3. Support APQP activities and coordinate with OEM customers. **Preferred Skills:** * Experience with launch of complex components or systems (e.g., airbags, steering wheels or seatbelts.MUST * Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Experience working directly with OEM customers. * **CHALLENGES** * Timing availability, passion, drive, innovative and resilience to work with a multicultural know\- how. * This position reports to a Operations Manager * **Automotive industry expertise it´ is a must for this position.** **· It’s difficult to access the Plant\- for this reason it´s important that the candidate must have her/ his own transportation or another alternative to get to this site.** * **Nowadays the company is unable to give support relocation\- for foreign candidates** **Experience minimum 3 years in automotive industry (must) as Launch Engineer in AUTOMOTIVE Tier 1 handling airbags, steering wheels or seatbelts maufacturing ( must):** * Lead and coordinate new product launches from pre\-production through full\-scale manufacturing. * Collaborate with cross\-functional teams including engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain. * Develop and track launch timelines, milestones, and deliverables. * Ensure production readiness, including tooling, equipment, and process validation. * Monitor and resolve issues during pilot builds and early production phases. * Support APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities and ensure compliance with customer requirements. * Coordinate with customers (OEMs) regarding launch status, risks, and issue resolution. * Implement continuous improvement actions to stabilize production after launch.
