Join our Correcaminos family: The Polytechnic University of Guanajuato is seeking: ***SUBJECT MATTER INSTRUCTOR*** *for the programs of* ***Food Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing, and Logistics Engineering.*** **Academic Degree:** Professional degree and license certifying completion of a professional program in engineering, physical-mathematical sciences, chemistry, mathematics education, applied mathematics, or related exact sciences disciplines; logistics and transportation engineering; transportation engineering; industrial engineering; logistics engineering; international trade; public accounting; business administration; logistics; economics; or related fields. **Desirable Experience:** Minimum three years of professional experience, including experience gained through activities related to academic training. At least one year of teaching experience at upper secondary or higher education levels. **Professional Competencies / Technical and Soft Skills:** Organizational ability. Leadership and teamwork. Proficiency in teaching-learning technologies and methodologies. Effective communication. Decision-making ability. Willingness for continuous learning. Knowledge of transportation costs and/or transportation-related regulations. **Courses to be Taught:** As specified by the position applied for. **Schedule:** As specified by the position applied for. **General Responsibilities:** 1\. Deliver classroom instruction. 2\. Submit the quarterly course plan for the subject taught. 3\. Advise, guide, and direct students in academic activities arising from various subjects. 4\. Continuously review and evaluate the content of the subject’s study program and submit it for review by the Program Director. 5\. Review and grade student examinations and assignments. 6\. Coordinate student activities related to assignments, research projects, laboratory practices, and workshops; verify their progress and completion. 7\. Maintain ongoing communication with students to prevent situations or problems affecting their academic performance and conduct. 8\. Propose and implement strategies and alternative actions to collaboratively resolve issues hindering students’ academic performance. 9\. Evaluate both group and individual student effort, in accordance with the University’s educational model. 10\. Foster good habits and promote institutional values among students. 11\. Assign remedial activities to students demonstrating insufficient academic performance. 12\. Verify and confirm company visits and/or guest speaker attendance at the University when scheduled. 13\. Actively participate in collegiate bodies of the Division and in implementing related actions. 14\. Carry out any other duties inherent to the position as assigned by the Program Director. 15\.
