Description

Job Summary: Support production operations by manufacturing, fitting, and repairing parts and tooling, ensuring compliance with production plans, quality standards, and safety requirements. Key Highlights: 1. Operate conventional and CNC machinery for manufacturing and fitting of parts. 2. Interpret technical drawings and specifications for machining tasks. 3. Manufacture, fit, and rectify parts according to specified tolerances. Support production operations by manufacturing, fitting, and repairing parts and tooling using conventional machinery and CNC equipment (lathes and machining centers). Ensure compliance with production plans, quality standards, safety requirements, and company environmental guidelines. Main Responsibilities Operate conventional and CNC machinery (lathes, milling machines, and machining centers) for manufacturing and fitting of parts. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to correctly execute machining tasks. Plan work processes, select materials, and define appropriate tools based on material characteristics and product requirements. Manufacture, fit, and rectify parts according to specified tolerances and surface finishes. Select, prepare, and sharpen cutting tools. Design or adapt fixtures, templates, and accessories required for machining processes. Perform operations such as drilling, tapping, reaming, and component fitting for assemblies. Use measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy of parts. Perform technical calculations using shop-floor formulas for machine adjustments and configurations. Record work orders, maintenance reports, and operational documentation. Assist in general area activities such as material handling, assembly and disassembly of parts, and workplace cleaning and organization. Comply with established safety, quality, and environmental standards. Technical Knowledge Operation and setup of: Conventional and CNC lathes Conventional and CNC milling machines Machining centers Use of mechanical workshop tools and equipment (grinder, hydraulic press, sander, overhead crane, etc.). Use of measuring instruments: micrometers, verniers, calipers, dial indicators, comparators, among others. Interpretation of mechanical drawings and tight tolerances (down to 0.0005). Knowledge of part fabrication and reconstruction from samples or worn components. Application of machining formulas and calculations. Requirements Education: TSU or related technical degree. Experience: Minimum of 23 years in CNC machining. Availability: Mandatory for rotating three shifts. Working Conditions Rotating shifts: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm 3:00 pm to 10:30 pm 10:30 pm to 7:00 am. -Requirements- Minimum education: Upper secondary education – Technological High School 3 years of experience Age: between 24 and 45 years
