




Summary: This role plays a critical part in supporting the Materials, Operations, and Customer Departments through the evaluation and management of the raw materials and components needed to fulfill the production schedule, receipt windows, application of supply chain principles, and process improvement. The Materials Planning Superintendent must maintain effective communication between suppliers, buyers, material planners, and internal departments, analyze fluctuations affecting internal processes, perform root cause analysis, articulate findings, and create and implement solutions. Main Activities and Responsibilities* Direct and coordinate activities related to the supply of raw materials, packaging, and components required to meet production schedules. * Ensure optimal inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, and components. * Follow up on supplier window compliance in a timely manner. * Monitor open and partial purchase orders. * In case of fluctuations in customer demand, communicate risks and develop a shipping plan. * Maintain communication with customers. * Direct required information from customers to the relevant departments. * Meet individual and team goals and performance indicators. * Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. * Train personnel under your supervision in activities related to the job description of the Planner and Customer Service. * Lead PDP meetings to allocate resources according to forecasted demands. * Ensure end\-of\-month activities related to shipping and customer service are completed. * Provide the monthly base forecast and daily take rate chart for customers. * Inform in advance of the end of production for FG (finished goods) being produced in different plants. * Coordinate inventory information for WIP (Work in Progress), FG, and raw materials associated with EOPs. * Communicate the amount of EOP inventory to the sales team. * Ensure data is provided to dispute penalties (increases, decreases, transport delays, invoicing, exports, etc.). * Ensure necessary documents required by customers are provided at the time of shipment. * Maintain optimal WIP and FG inventory levels. * Report daily adherence to the production schedule and follow up with relevant departments in case of non\-compliance. * Collaborate in continuous improvement by participating in Kaizen, pull systems, Kanban, visual management, 5S, etc. * Work closely with Sales and Program Managers. * Provide timely reports and analysis. * Appropriately escalate risk situations in a timely manner. * Actively participate in internal and external IATF audits, as well as LPA activities. * Standardize and follow applicable processes. * Properly dispute penalties. * Meet customer requirements regarding portals and daily reports. * Actively participate in on\-site activities such as training, town halls, recurring meetings, and physical inventories. * Report and act upon any unsafe acts or conditions. * Meet client\-required meetings and priorities. * Comply with environmental and climate change policies. * Identify, control, and minimize significant environmental aspects related to your work area. * Implement good environmental practices. * Promote environmental culture. Education / Experience / Skills* Industrial Engineer, Business Administration, Commerce, or related degree. * 5 years in a similar position with team management experience. * Strong negotiation skills. * Inventory management and control. * Knowledge of JIT (Just\-In\-Time). * Experience in procurement practices, material tracking, planning, and customer service. * Knowledge of MRP.
