**Manufacturing Engineer** **Summary** Responsible for determining the necessary operations for product manufacturing by reviewing part drawings, specifications, and other engineering data. Plan, schedule, carry out, or coordinate phases of engineering projects. May develop operation sequences, estimate time requirements for each, and prepare operation sheets. At LDM, we are a professional, motivated, and committed team. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide support to Lean initiatives according to the LPS department: * Maintain the department's 5S standards. * Work with production planning to establish manufacturing priorities and ensure all tools and documentation are available and aligned with the Quality Management System. * Attend advanced quality planning meetings to support process design and selection of necessary tools. * Serve as a liaison with the customer to ensure specific needs are met and address required requirements. * Interact with raw material and tool suppliers to establish engineering requirements for production start-up. * Perform analysis and find solutions for specific process problems on assigned projects/parts. * Participate in quotations for new projects and process improvements, considering material and processing costs, tools, gauges, and capital investment costs if necessary. * Participate in productivity improvement studies through time studies. * Conduct training on applicable engineering processes and operational documentation. * Maintain continuous process control through resolution of quality issues and process improvement investigations. * Periodically review all processes and operator instructions for assigned customers to ensure accuracy and compliance with procedures, meeting customer and quality management system requirements. * Monitor tool consumption and take actions to implement improvements. * Continuous improvement in cycle time and process capability. * Provide support for improving process flows. * Keep updated the bill of materials and tools, work instructions, and process documentation for assigned areas. * Participate in corrective action processes to resolve customer complaints. * Participate in the CAT cost reduction team. * Ensure compliance with applicable elements of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System ISO 45001:2018 related to the role.
