Job Description: Operations Manager Area: Logistics and Supply Company: Majore – Distribution of Eco-friendly Disposables Reports to: General Management Subordinates: Logistics, warehouse, and freight coordination staff \-\-\- Position Purpose: Ensure the efficient and profitable operation of order flow at Majore, from receipt to delivery, by optimizing purchasing, transportation, and storage. The mission is to ensure each order contributes to the net profitability of the business through intelligent use of resources, freight negotiation, purchase consolidation, and logistical efficiency. \-\-\- Key Responsibilities: 1\. Order Receipt and Scheduling: Receive and register orders from the sales department or direct customers. Verify inventory availability or issue purchase orders. 2\. Strategic Purchasing: Issue efficient and cost-effective purchase orders based on demand, stock levels, and logistics costs. Consolidate orders to obtain better prices and delivery terms. 3\. Transportation Coordination: Schedule external freight services to bring products to the CEDIS or deliver directly to customers. Negotiate competitive rates with carriers to maximize profitability per order. 4\. Warehouse and Delivery Management: Supervise CEDIS operations: product intake, storage, and dispatch. Optimize direct deliveries whenever possible to reduce costs and accelerate flow. 5\. Operational Control and Continuous Improvement: Continuously analyze costs per order, margins, and route efficiency. Implement improvements that increase operational profitability and reduce deviations. Position Profile: Education: Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. Experience: Minimum 3 years in purchasing, logistics, or distribution of physical products. Key Knowledge: Purchase and freight negotiation National logistics coordination Inventory and route control ERP or administrative system management (COMPAQ desirable) Key Skills: Focus on profitability and results Operational problem-solving Clear communication with sales teams and suppliers Organization, data analysis, and decision-making KPIs for the Position (maximum 4\): 1\. Logistics Cost per $1,000 Billed Reduce the logistical impact on overall sales profitability. 3\. % of Direct Deliveries to Customer (without passing through CEDIS) Increase efficiency by eliminating unnecessary storage. 4\. Level of Optimized Purchasing (% of Consolidated Orders) Consolidate orders to achieve better prices and lower transport cost per unit.
