General Kitchen Assistant

**The Position:** ---------------- Preparation and service of food under strict quality and hygiene standards. Supporting all cafeteria areas, including dishwashing, main courses, desserts, fruits and vegetables, main bar area, balanced bar area, cold bar area, warehouse, covering, salads, vegetables, and executive dining room. The General Kitchen Assistant role requires availability to rotate across various cafeteria functions and activities, as well as across three pre-established and company-defined work shifts. **Tasks and Responsibilities:** ------------------------------- * Properly wash and disinfect major equipment to be used in the area. * Maintain a clean area free of accident hazards. * Support operational cafeteria areas as required. * Ensure proper sanitization of cutlery and production equipment for various services. * Maintain bars at correct temperature, adequately stocked, and clean during each service. * Provide continuous and timely service. * Operate equipment properly and maintain it in optimal condition, collaborating in its upkeep to prevent breakdowns. * Maintain clean areas free of accident hazards. Prepare food cuts according to the planned schedule. * **Requirements:** --------------- **Mandatory:** * Hold a completed high school diploma. * Have three years of experience in industrial cafeterias serving at least 500 diners per service. * Prior knowledge of operational equipment such as Rational ovens, steam kettles, griddles, food processors, and/or turbo-mixers. * Knowledge of chemical products used in kitchens. * Results-oriented. * Sense of urgency. * Good communication skills with colleagues and customers. * Ability to work effectively in a team.
