Visit us at www.acuityinc.com. **Job Summary** ----------------------- This position focuses on process improvement and manufacturing efficiency within manual/backend assembly operations in an electronic manufacturing environment. The engineer will support productivity improvements, line balancing, time studies, layout optimization, scrap reduction, and implementation of Lean Manufacturing initiatives. The role will also support problem solving, process documentation, engineering changes, and continuous improvement projects while ensuring compliance with manufacturing standards and ESD/static control requirements. **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------- * Support productivity and manufacturing efficiency improvements within production lines and manual assembly cells. * Conduct time studies, line balancing, and analysis of resource/personnel allocation. * Optimize layouts, material flow, and product flow within manufacturing operations. * Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives directly on the production floor. * Support scrap reduction activities and process optimization. * Troubleshoot manufacturing/process issues and implement corrective actions. * Participate in engineering changes, process updates, and manufacturing documentation. * Monitor operational metrics such as OEE, productivity, scrap, and yield. * Support manufacturing operations within ESD/static-controlled environments. * Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, Training, and EHS teams. **Experience (Minimum Required Experience)** ---------------------------------------------- * Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or related field. * 3+ years of experience in Process Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering within electronics/manufacturing environments. * Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. * Experience in line balancing, time studies, and workflow optimization. * Experience supporting manual assembly or backend manufacturing processes. * Knowledge of Core Tools and problem-solving methodologies. * Experience working with metrics such as OEE, productivity, scrap, and yield. * Knowledge of ESD/static control environments. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. * Intermediate conversational English. * Self-directed profile with shop-floor presence and ability to work directly with production teams. **Travel Requirements** ----------------------- * 5%.
