Development in operational diagnosis and process control. **Job Description** ------------------------- Supervise shift activities under your responsibility by monitoring and analyzing information from various process areas and different maintenance activities, ensuring efficient compliance with instructions and proper equipment operation and maintenance, as well as establishing priorities for addressing failures or incidents, with appropriate resource allocation and effective coordination of shift personnel, ensuring product conformity with specifications regarding quantity, quality, and cost, while fostering a harmonious and safe working environment. **Main Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Supervise field shift activities: equipment inspections, safety, order and cleanliness, special operations, machine startup and shutdown. * Coordinate activities to resolve failures or incidents and prepare reports on operating conditions, production, and existing inventories. * Analyze main equipment parameters at the panel (COP), correlating them with field observations, and ensure continuous, stable, and safe equipment operation. * Conduct effective shift handover, reporting equipment operating conditions (e.g., kilns, mills, etc.) and product quality. * Verify that equipment startup conditions are safe and maintain stable operation without overloading beyond capacity. * Ensure operations and processes minimize environmental impacts. **Job Challenges** -------------------- * Effectively diagnose equipment operational conditions by correlating parameters and behaviors to improve preventive and predictive decision-making. * Coordinate production personnel under your supervision and maintenance personnel during your shift (in the absence of maintenance supervisors). * Prevent unauthorized personnel from operating the control panel and maintain discipline within the control room and work areas. * Suspend any activity not performed according to established procedures. * Request cleaning or removal of spills or hazardous solid waste in any plant area. **Required Skills and Knowledge** ------------------------------------------ Education: * High School Diploma * Completed Technical Degree Required Experience: * Operations\-Cement * Plant Operations Required Knowledge: * Cement manufacturing process: theoretical or practical * Process control * Personnel management * Knowledge and operation of Microsoft Office * Process book, PIWEB. * Analysis of relative trends, variable relationships Critical Competencies: * Possess operational, safety, and maintenance knowledge of equipment and processes, as well as fundamental product quality principles. * Ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously. * High level of concentration and commitment. * Leadership to manage a team. * Analytical ability to interpret large volumes of variables and situations. **Relationships** -------------- Internal: * Unionized Technicians * Plant Staff External: * Suppliers * Contractors **Diversity and Inclusion at CEMEX** ----------------------------------- At CEMEX, we recognize the diversity of the world in which we live and do business.
