Prepare ingredients for cooking—for example, portioning food, chopping, and storing prior to use. Safely and properly use tools, equipment, and appliances for measuring and baking, and for preparing baked goods. Follow and ensure compliance with food handling safety policies and procedures, including personal hygiene procedures. Check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, and report any issues to management. Wash and disinfect the kitchen area; set up and divide workstations, and follow and comply with hygiene and cleaning procedures. Monitor food quality and portion sizes served throughout the workday. Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the manager; complete all required safety trainings and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; and protect company assets.
