Regulate oven, grill, and broiler temperatures. Remove food from the freezer to thaw in the refrigerator. Ensure proper portioning, plating, and garnishing of meals. Maintain food inventory records. Monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food. Communicate any required assistance during peak workload periods. Notify the Executive Chef of surplus food items available for daily specials. Inform Food and Beverage service staff about rejected items and special dishes available on the menu. Ensure food product quality. Prepare and cook food in accordance with recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and the food preparation checklist. Prepare cold dishes. Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model. Comply with all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management; and complete required safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; and protect company assets. Anticipate and fulfill guest service needs. Communicate clearly and professionally with others. Foster and maintain positive working relationships with others; support the team in achieving common goals; listen and respond appropriately to concerns raised by fellow employees. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time. Reach above shoulder height and below knee level, including bending, twisting, turning, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
