Comply with audit standards for hotel control and cash handling procedures (e.g., blind drop cash deposits). Obtain assigned cash drawer and ensure accuracy of starting funds, securing adequate change for expected transaction levels and safeguarding the cash drawer at all times. Reconcile cash drawer at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, turn in receipts, and secure the drawer. Transport cash to and from assigned workstation. Set up and organize cashier workstation with designated supplies, forms, and resources; maintain cleanliness of workstation at all times. Complete opening tasks such as arranging necessary supplies and equipment including cash drawer, ensuring everything is fully operational. Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate guest service needs, respond accordingly, and express genuine appreciation. Communicate clearly and professionally with others and answer telephones using proper etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to achieve common goals. Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards. Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point-of-sale systems. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 10 pounds or less without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
