Job Summary: The Metrology Technician performs dimensional validation of tools, parts, and components, ensuring compliance with the company's safety and quality requirements. Key Responsibilities: 1. Dimensional validation of tools and components 2. Development of programs for coordinate measuring machines (CMM) 3. Conducting annual dimensional studies and MSA ***Job Description*** The Metrology Technician is responsible for the dimensional validation of tools, parts, and/or components produced by the company or supplied by vendors, fully complying with all safety and quality requirements/regulations. ***Primary Responsibilities:*** * Perform required dimensional inspections at the Mexicali plant, whether on raw materials or finished products. * Perform ballooning of drawings required for each dimensional study. Analyze engineering drawings of parts and/or components to be dimensionally inspected. * Develop programs for coordinate measuring machines (CMM) * Prepare dimensional reports according to the established format. * Conduct annual dimensional studies (annual layout) required by customers. * Perform MSA studies, attribute R&R, variable R&R, and destructive test MSA. * Train personnel on the use of measurement equipment as needed. * Maintain inventories of spare parts and consumables required in the area. \* ***Requirements*** * **Proficiency in measurement equipment**, such as micrometers, Vernier calipers, height gauges, optical comparators, and measurement gages. Profilometers. **CMM programming and operation** * **Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD\&T) for drawing interpretation** * Knowledge of measurement standards * Oracle experience preferred * Lean manufacturing knowledge preferred * Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) * **Gage R\&R knowledge** * Intermediate English * **Shift availability (2nd shift: 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM)** * Minimum 2 years of experience as a metrologist in the maquiladora industry, preferably automotive. * Minimum 5 years in Quality (Inspection/Technician) Employment Type: Full-time Salary: $650\.00 \- $750\.00 per day Experience: * Inspector or Quality Technician: 2 years (Mandatory) * Metrology: 1 year (Mandatory) Language: * English (Preferred) Work Location: On-site employment
