Description

Job Summary: Administer and oversee Data Center operations, ensuring availability and optimal performance of both physical and virtual infrastructure, while serving as the primary liaison with vendors. Key Highlights: 1. Manages the physical and virtual infrastructure of the Data Center. 2. Administers virtualization platforms and key operating systems. 3. Resolves critical technical incidents and ensures operational continuity. Administer, plan, manage, organize, direct, and control all activities related to Data Center operations, guaranteeing the availability, continuity, and proper functioning of the physical and virtual infrastructure hosted therein. Serve as the key liaison with vendors for server intake, egress, and maintenance. **Main Responsibilities** * Manage and coordinate server intake and egress with the Data Center vendor. * Ensure optimal operation of all servers and equipment within the Data Center. * Supervise daily Data Center operations, ensuring its availability and security. * Infrastructure and Server Management * Resolve technical incidents and issues affecting servers hosted in the Data Center. * Implement new servers and infrastructure in alignment with active projects. * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Data Center infrastructure. * Accompany and supervise the vendor during hardware replacement or failure activities. * Create, administer, and maintain virtual machines on platforms such as RHEV, KVM, OVM, Hyper\-V, and Nutanix. * Administer Linux (RedHat) and Windows Server operating systems. * Assess critical hardware failures and make immediate decisions regarding required actions. * Inventory, Control, and Security * Populate and maintain an up-to-date CMDB with the complete server inventory. * Verify Data Center access via access control systems and prior authorization from security. * Track projects involving the integration of new infrastructure into the Data Center. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. * University degree is mandatory. * Minimum 4 years of experience in roles such as: Operating System Administrator, Data Center Administrator, and Physical and Virtual Infrastructure Management. * Infrastructure and Data Center administration. * Operating systems: RedHat, Windows Server. * Virtualization platforms: RHEV, KVM, OVM, Hyper\-V, Nutanix. * Administration of communication equipment and server hardware. * Inventory management and CMDB administration. Skills * Strong management and problem-solving capabilities. * Quick and effective response to critical incidents. * Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations. * Effective communication with vendors and internal teams. * Organizational skills, control, and focus on operational continuity. **Position Conditions** * Willingness to travel. * Rotating shifts. * Weekend work, as required by Data Center operational needs.
