




The Inventory Auditor is responsible for conducting detailed audits to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and availability of the company’s inventory. This role is critical to ensuring that inventory records are correct and aligned with the organization’s internal control practices. The ideal candidate must possess exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Key Responsibilities and Duties * Conduct periodic physical inventory audits to verify the accuracy of inventory records. * Compare physical inventory counts against accounting and system records to identify discrepancies. * Analyze variances and investigate potential causes of inventory errors or losses. * Prepare and present detailed reports on inventory status, highlighting any anomalies or areas for improvement. * Collaborate with other departments (logistics, procurement, warehouse) to enhance inventory management processes. * Implement and ensure compliance with internal inventory control procedures. * Participate in staff training on proper inventory handling practices and policies. * Maintain up-to-date records and document all audits conducted. * Propose solutions to optimize processes and reduce inventory losses. * Conduct periodic cash counts to verify proper cash handling and reconcile with accounting records. * Review branch operational expenses to ensure they remain within budget and are supported by appropriate documentation. * Scan products at branches to verify correct barcode assignment and prevent potential inventory errors. * Verify displayed product prices to ensure alignment with system-stored prices and consistency with commercial policies. Required Technical Knowledge * Proficiency in inventory management systems and ERP platforms * Advanced use of Excel / Google Sheets * Sampling and physical counting techniques * Knowledge of internal controls and regulatory standards * Familiarity with mobile data-capture devices (scanners, handhelds, audit applications) Academic Qualifications and Experience * Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field (intern or graduate). * Minimum 1 year of experience in inventory auditing or related areas (preferably in retail, distribution, or manufacturing sectors). * Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel) and product scanning tools. * Preferred age range: 23–30 years.
