From our corporate colleagues to hotel owners, media, sustainable business partners, government, and trade bodies, we support corporate initiatives with campaigns and practices that garner award\-winning results. **Your day to day** This role will be responsible for supporting the internal, owner and hotel communications functions for the Mexico, Latin America and Caribbean (MLAC) region, a priority growth region for IHG. This role will support key communications projects including town halls and drafting content for newsletters, internal news platforms, and leader messages, as well as drafting talking points and messages for hotel teams and hotel owners. This role will provide key communications support to the Managing Director of MLAC as well as communications support for other senior leaders in the region and assist with major in\-region events. You will also work closely the broader regional and global communications team. This is a position based in IHG’s MLAC corporate office in Guadalajara. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** * Support the MLAC and Americas internal and owner communications activities in support of the leadership teams. * Provide support and assistance to internal, hotel and owner communications teams on key communications projects including town halls and drafting content for channels. * Draft content in English, Spanish and Portuguese, and assist with translations for communications messages and materials as assigned. * Proactively manage regional internal systems and processes – examples include mailing lists, shared Teams sites, trackers, editorial calendars, PowerPoint presentations and spreadsheets. * Draft content for employee and hotel newsletters, company newsroom stories, talking points for major internal events, town halls, and owner\-facing events. * Draft communications and letters for the Managing Director of the MLAC region for owner or hotel audiences. * Draft project plans, communications plans and reports for regional programs and events. * Assist with translations for English hotel and owner communications into Spanish and Portuguese. * Support the MLAC regional team on major colleague and owner\-facing events, including virtual and hybrid conferences, events and presentations. * Work closely with members of the Americas and Global Commercial \& Marketing and Product \& Technology Communications teams, and with regional leaders and partners in MLAC across various functions. * Ensure strong knowledge of IHG processes and how they apply to the team. * Manage related reporting and analytics for various communications channels. **Education** Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, English, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field. **Experience and Skills** * 5 years’ prior experience in the communications, marketing or media field, with experience in a corporate or PR agency setting strongly preferred. * Bilingual proficiency – both written and oral proficiency – in Spanish and English is required. Proficiency in Portuguese is a bonus but not required. * Excellent attention to detail with strong planning and project management skills. * Excellent content creation, software skills and ability to use Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). * Impeccable spelling and grammar skills. * Curious and eager to learn with strong interpersonal skills, cultural intelligence and ability to work collaboratively. * Ability to multi\-task, prioritize and manage workload in a fast\-paced environment. * Ability to maintain confidentiality and support team on time\-sensitive projects. * Ability to work with and support multiple stakeholders on various communications projects. * Candidates should have strong writing samples and an understanding of English grammar and AP style. **What we offer** We’ll reward all your hard work with a great salary and benefits – including great room discount and superb training.
