Ensure data quality and compliance with governance standards **Job Summary** We are seeking a highly skilled **Test Lead** to manage and execute testing activities for the **Analytics Portfolio**, covering data pipelines, reporting platforms, and analytics solutions. The Test Lead will be responsible for defining test strategy, driving execution (manual and automation), ensuring data accuracy, and validating end to end data flows across modern and legacy technologies. The role involves close collaboration with data engineers, BI developers, business analysts, and offshore teams to ensure high quality delivery and compliance with data governance standards. **Key Responsibilities** **Test Strategy \& Planning** · Define and implement the **test strategy** for data pipelines, ETL processes, reporting dashboards, and analytics models. · Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI Developers, and Business Analysts to understand data flows, transformation logic, and reporting requirements. · Develop detailed **test plans, test cases, test data**, and validation rules for functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing phases. **Execution \& Coordination** · Lead the execution of **manual and automated testing** across multiple technologies: o Databricks notebooks and Spark jobs o Informatica ETL workflows o SQL\-based data validation for data marts and warehouses o SSIS packages and SSRS reporting solutions · Coordinate with **offshore testing teams** to ensure timely and quality delivery. · Track, analyze, and manage defects using **JIRA, Azure DevOps, or ALM**. **Automation \& Tools** · Implement automation using **Python, PySpark, or SQL** scripts for data validation and regression testing. · Ensure complete test coverage and traceability using appropriate test management tools. **Compliance \& Documentation** · Ensure testing activities align with **Zurich’s data governance, audit, and regulatory compliance standards**. · Maintain documentation for test artifacts, data lineage checks, validation reports, and sign\-off deliverables. · Support UAT and business validation cycles through structured testing assistance. **Reporting \& Governance** · Provide regular status reports, data quality metrics, and risk assessments to stakeholders. · Participate in program governance forums and contribute to quality assurance reviews. **Required Skills \& Experience** · **8\+ years** of experience in software testing or data testing roles. · **3\+ years** of experience in data engineering, data validation, or BI testing environments. · Strong hands\-on expertise in: o **Databricks** (including Spark, notebooks) o **Informatica** o **SQL** (advanced level) o **SSIS / SSRS** · Experience in **ETL testing, data validation, reconciliation, and report verification**. · Familiarity with **Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD** delivery models. · Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills. · **ISTQB certification** or equivalent preferred. **Preferred Attributes** · Experience in the **Insurance domain**, especially financial or operational reporting. · Exposure to **cloud data platforms** such as Azure Data Lake, Delta Lake, or Snowflake. · Knowledge of **data profiling, discrepancy analysis, data reconciliation, and anomaly detection**. · Ability to lead **offshore and nearshore testing teams** and manage multi vendor environments.
