We operate our own fleet of tractor-trailers and tank trucks, requiring rigorous preventive tire maintenance to guarantee uninterrupted supply to our customers. Job Profile We seek a specialist in comprehensive fifth-wheel tractor-trailer maintenance to ensure the operational availability of our food-grade and industrial fleet. The candidate must possess a strong technical foundation in diesel engines and heavy-duty transmission systems. Key Responsibilities * Preventive Maintenance: Execution of service programs for tractor-trailer engines, braking systems, and suspension. * Corrective Maintenance: Repair of mechanical failures in engines, 10-, 13-, and 18-speed transmissions, and differential systems. * Critical Systems: Diagnosis and repair of pneumatic (air brake), hydraulic, and cooling systems. * Technical Inspection: Daily safety checklists and verification of mechanical conditions for out-of-town routes. * Structure and Welding: Basic sheet metal repairs, electric welding, and fifth-wheel maintenance. Basic Requirements * Experience: Minimum 3–5 verifiable years in heavy equipment mechanics (fifth-wheel). * Knowledge: Diesel internal combustion engines, Eaton Fuller transmissions, and air systems. * Education: Certified Mechanical Technician (completed or incomplete) or equivalent hands-on experience. * Location: Preferred residence in El Salto, Tlajomulco, or areas near the airport. Desired Competencies * Operational Discipline: Punctuality and organization in tool and parts handling. * Safety Focus: Knowledge of road safety regulations and workshop risk prevention. * Availability: Ability to perform minor roadside or yard mechanical assistance when required by operations.
