




Position Summary: We are seeking a Level 2 Network Engineer with experience in network support, incident diagnosis and resolution, performance monitoring, and participation in ITIL processes. Maintenance of technical documentation and coordination with vendors Capital Empresarial Horizonte, a Mexican company specializing in Human Resources and Information Technologies, is looking for: Level 2 Network Engineer **Conversational English required** **Hybrid work model in GDL** **Required Experience** ------------------------- * 3 to 5 years in network support or IT infrastructure * Experience in NOC environments or second-level support * Handling of complex incidents and escalations * Experience in enterprise network operations **Main Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Provide Level 2 support and serve as escalation point for Level 1 team * Diagnose and resolve incidents related to routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless networks * Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for critical incidents * Implement approved changes and participate in maintenance windows * Monitor network performance and capacity * Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, diagrams, and configurations * Coordinate with vendors and carriers for WAN incident resolution * Ensure compliance with SLAs and operational KPIs * Participate in ITIL processes: incident, problem, and change management * Support and mentor junior engineers **Required Technical Knowledge** ------------------------------------- ### **Core Networking (Cisco-focused)** * Solid understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and networking fundamentals * Advanced routing and switching (CCNP-level) * VLANs, Trunking (802\.1Q), STP/RSTP/MST * EtherChannel, HSRP/VRRP/GLBP * Static and dynamic routing (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) * Route redistribution and path selection optimization * ACLs (standard and extended), QoS, NAT/PAT * Multicast fundamentals ### **WAN \& Edge** * MPLS, Metro Ethernet, and dedicated links * SD\-WAN fundamentals and support * VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN, site\-to\-site) * WAN traffic and performance optimization ### **Monitoring and Tools** * Monitoring platforms (SolarWinds, PRTG, Splunk, etc.) * Traffic analysis using Wireshark * CLI-based troubleshooting * SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow * ITSM systems (ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira) * **️ Systems and Automation (Desirable)** * Basic networking knowledge on Linux and Windows * Scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) * Automation tools and configuration backup solutions * Infrastructure documentation **Certifications (Desirable)** ------------------------------- * Cisco CCNP Enterprise (or equivalent knowledge) * CCNA (minimum baseline) * ITIL Foundation **We Offer:** * Office hours * 100% payroll scheme * Salary open to negotiation based on experience * Statutory benefits * Enhanced benefits (family SGMM, SV 1 million, grocery vouchers, 30-day bonus, PTU)
