Job Summary: Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure compliance with automotive standards by evaluating, developing, and auditing suppliers to guarantee component quality. Key Highlights: 1. Ensure component quality from the source with automotive suppliers. 2. Lead audits and quality issue management with suppliers. 3. Collaborate with internal departments to optimize quality processes. * **Position:** SQA / Supplier Quality Engineer * **Reports to:** Quality Manager * **Education:** Industrial Engineering or related field. **Job Objective** Ensure suppliers meet the company's and automotive industry's quality standards through evaluation, development, auditing, and performance monitoring, thereby guaranteeing component quality from the source. **Key Responsibilities** * Evaluate, select, and approve new suppliers. * Conduct process and system audits. * Follow up on supplier quality issues (8D). * Validate PPAPs (Production Part Approval Process). * Monitor performance metrics (PPM, OTIF, scrap). * Manage corrective and preventive actions. * Coordinate containment activities for quality issues. * Lead technical visits to suppliers. * Ensure compliance with standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001\. * Collaborate with internal departments: production, engineering, procurement, and logistics. **Technical Knowledge** * Core Tools: * APQP * PPAP * FMEA * SPC * MSA * Drawing interpretation (GD\&T) * Manufacturing processes (machining, injection molding, stamping, or die casting) * Problem-solving methodologies (8D, Ishikawa, 5 Why’s) * Automotive standards IATF 16949/VDA 6\.3 **Experience** * 3–5 years in supplier quality within the automotive industry * Direct experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 suppliers * Participation in audits and new project launches **Key Competencies** * Analytical thinking * Supplier negotiation * Problem solving * Effective communication * Working under pressure * Results orientation **Languages:** * Intermediate–advanced English **Desirable:** * Internal auditor certification * Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Salary: $23,000\.00 \- $25,000\.00 per month Benefits: * Option for indefinite-term contract * Major medical expense insurance * Life insurance * Grocery vouchers Workplace: On-site employment
