Production Control Manager

Position Summary: Plan, schedule, and monitor the production flow, optimizing resource utilization and minimizing downtime and inventory. Key Highlights: 1. Manage the Master Production Schedule and daily/weekly scheduling 2. Coordinate raw material availability with procurement and warehouse 3. Monitor production progress and adjust the plan in response to unforeseen events Production Control Manager (PCP) 1\. Position Objective Plan, schedule, and monitor the production flow to meet delivery dates, optimizing the use of machinery, labor, and materials while minimizing downtime and excess inventory. 2\. Key Responsibilities Production Scheduling: Develop the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and daily/weekly line scheduling. Materials Management (MRP): Coordinate with procurement and warehouse to ensure raw materials are available before shift start. Shop Floor Supervision: Monitor actual progress against scheduled targets and adjust plans due to mechanical failures or absenteeism. Inventory Control: Manage work-in-process (WIP) and finished goods inventory. KPI Analysis: Report on plan adherence, line efficiency, and yield loss. Technical Requirements and Experience Education: Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Experience: Typically 3–5 years in planning or supervision roles within manufacturing plants. Required Tools: ERP: Advanced proficiency in production modules (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, etc.). Excel: Advanced level (macros, pivot tables, Power Pivot). Methodologies: Solid knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Just\-in\-Time (JIT), and Theory of Constraints. 4\. Competencies (Soft Skills) Responsiveness: Ability to resolve crises when a machine fails or a critical component is missing. Negotiation: Ability to mediate between Sales (which wants everything "yesterday") and Operations (which has capacity constraints). Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data and anticipate bottlenecks.
