Summary: This role involves planning, executing, and analyzing characterization for new product introduction, developing automation tools, continuous self-improvement, and mentoring junior team members. Highlights: 1. Lead NPI product characterization and execute test plans 2. Develop and improve automation tools (Python, AI adoption) 3. Opportunity for self-development and mentoring **Responsibilities:** **1** **Planning and execution of assigned NPI products (75%)** --------------------------------------------------------------- * Plan, review and execute characterization plans and reports, schedules, and hardware requirements. * Define, integrate, and implement product\-specific optical/electrical characterization test benches—bringing together test equipment, PCB hardware, software, and fixtures as needed. * Bring up and develop repeatable and reliable automation solutions (Python, VISA, data processing). * Analyze results in real time. * Execute plans and meet schedules by prioritizing tasks effectively and managing competing deadlines. * Generate data sets and reports. * Review results with the core team and handle follow\-up actions. * Proactively assess the quality of the product and results. * Work closely with other teams, both locally and at other sites (corner lot planning, ATE testing, data analysis, reporting, coordinating testing at other locations, etc.). * Debug issues and develop solutions using a solid foundation in electronics and signal integrity. **2\. Tool and process development (15%)** ------------------------------------------ * Contribute to Python automation and the team’s characterization repository. * Add and improve automated test methods, equipment classes and post\-processing techniques. * Drive continuous improvement in quality through signal integrity work. * Adopt AI as a daily basis tool to boost efficiency. **3\. Self\-development (5%)** ------------------------------ * **Actively develop skills and knowledge in relevant areas—like new test equipment, electronics, signal integrity, automation/programming, standards, packaging, connections, company processes, tools, etc.** **4\. Mentoring (5%)** ---------------------- Mentor and help develop more junior or less experienced team members.
