Job Description POSITION DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLE: WAREHOUSE OPERATOR GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for supplying necessary materials to production lines, maintaining the warehouse area in a presentable condition, and participating in general physical inventories as required. Responsible for material receiving and shipping functions. SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for unloading materials from boxes or trailers, verifying correct material quantities, and placing them on warehouse shelves. Responsible for keeping materials and shelves free of dust, trash, etc. Responsible for keeping all material boxes sealed with tape and properly labeled (part number, lot number, quantity, etc.). Responsible for timely supply of raw materials to production. Responsible for receiving returned materials and/or subassemblies from the production department and finding appropriate storage locations. Responsible for supplying additional materials as required, once authorized. Responsible for ensuring clear access to fire hoses and extinguishers, and for respecting all markings and signage throughout the area. Responsible for proper stacking and neat arrangement of materials, avoiding damage to boxes, cartons, pallets, raw materials, etc. Responsible for observing personal and coworker safety during the use of forklifts and manual pallet jacks, as well as using personal protective equipment daily (shoes, gloves, uniforms, etc.). Provide feedback and suggestions regarding better utilization of equipment and warehouse space. Responsible for reporting any damage or defects in warehouse equipment. Responsible for keeping forklifts in good working condition. Responsible for maintaining positive relationships within the company across all departments and coworkers. Responsible for accurate completion and proper control of documentation related to materials (quantities, lot numbers, units of measure, etc.). Responsible for performing cycle counts. Responsible for processing barcode labels for shippers. Trained in: GMPs, Safety and Hygiene, material control, handling flammable liquids, forklift operation, fire extinguisher use, data entry into systems, and document control such as packing lists, receiving memos, etc. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards as defined in BD's Quality, Safety, and Environmental Manual, as regulated by the IT Enterprise system. EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent EXPERIENCE: One year of prior experience in a similar role is acceptable. HABILIDADES: Ability to read, understand, and complete forms containing numerical data, instructional phrases, addresses, etc. Capable of performing arithmetic operations including decimals, percentages, and fractions Ability to organize and maintain records, Search for, give, and receive information related to assigned tasks Required Skills Optional Skills .
