Your Job: As a Production Planner , you will play a critical role in creating and managing daily or weekly production schedules to ensure customer demands are met on time. This includes analyzing raw material availability, manpower, and equipment capacity, while driving strategies to optimize efficiency and align with business and customer needs. You will be key to maintaining seamless operations and collaborating across teams to improve processes and performance. Our Team: You will be part of a dynamic planning team, directly working with production managers, line supervisors, warehouse staff, customer service representatives, engineering, quality, and demand planning teams. This team ensures that production runs smoothly and efficiently while meeting customer requirements, with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement. What You Will Do: * Plan and prioritize production operations to maximize performance and minimize delays, including analyzing backlog and clear\-to\-build. * Coordinate production flow across multiple products or product families. * Monitor output and ensure on\-time completion of work orders to meet production plan deadlines. * Schedule demand shifts according to operational needs and address issues promptly to avoid interruptions. * Prepare performance reports and communicate the status of production plans effectively. * Collaborate with support groups, including Quality, Engineering, and Warehouse, to ensure alignment with production needs. * Analyze and monitor customer on\-time delivery metrics to ensure customer request dates are consistently met. * Prepare revenue and shipping projections, ensuring alignment with business goals. * Maintain inventory levels for finished goods and sub\-assemblies, avoiding shortages and excesses. * Actively participate in Lean projects, Kaizen initiatives, and propose strategies for continuous improvement. * Perform weekly waterfall analysis to identify demand fluctuations and develop strategies for mid\- and long\-term planning. * Manage exception messages to keep the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) system lean and accurate. * Convert planned orders daily to reflect customer demands promptly and align procurement and shipping activities. * Participate actively in New Product Introduction (NPI) releases and new business activities. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications): * Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. * Minimum of 5 years of experience creating production plans in a manufacturing environment. * Proven expertise in ERP and MRP systems, with in\-depth knowledge of production planning strategies. * Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, in English. * Advanced Excel proficiency for detailed analysis and reporting. What Will Put You Ahead: * APICS certification or equivalent training in production planning and inventory management. * Experience in High Mix/Low Volume or Low Mix/High Volume operations, including SMT, backend processes, manual assembly, and automation. * Familiarity with multiple ERP systems and automated supply chain tools, such as Kinaxis. * Exceptional negotiation skills and proven leadership abilities. * Automotive industry experience with WO (Work Order) creation and administration.
