General Accountant Salary: From MXN 17,000 net monthly Company: Punto Sao Paulo Location: Colonia Providencia, Guadalajara, Jalisco Working Hours: 7:30 \- 16:00 hrs, Monday to Friday Job Summary: You will be responsible for managing and optimizing accounting, collections, and billing processes, ensuring timely completion of pending records and contributing to the company's cash flow. Main Responsibilities: Follow up on customer accounts receivable. Make phone calls, send emails, and issue payment reminders to customers. Prepare and send account statements. Record and apply payments in the accounting system. Reconcile received payments against invoices. Support preparation of collection reports (overdue portfolio, current portfolio). Keep customer information up to date. Route customer incidents or clarifications to the relevant department. Support recovery of overdue receivables according to established policies. Safeguard and archive documentation related to collections. Request payment proofs from customers. Report overdue accounts or incidents to the immediate supervisor. Review and record tax receipts. Compare SAT receipts with those from suppliers. Organize documentation for accounting purposes. Review and request necessary supporting documentation for accounting from other departments. Enter invoices into the accounting system within the corresponding journal entries. Track payments. Customer resolution and support. Generate reports. Requirements: Completed bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Knowledge of the accounting cycle aligned with procedures, journal entries, expense movements, purchases, and revenues, plus strong numerical analysis skills. Familiarity with accounting standards and up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations. Proficiency in accounting systems and specialized financial management software (Contpaq/Contabilizador or Alpha preferred). Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
