If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary. **Job Summary** --------------- To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a **Design Quality Engineer l**ocated in Guadalajara, **North Campus.** Reporting to the **Design Quality Manager** the **Design Quality Engineer** is responsible for develops, implements, coordinates, and performs Design Quality Assurance program to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products. **What a typical day looks like:** * Lead quality activities throughout NPI, including pilot builds per week when required. * Collect, research, evaluate, and present information on production capabilities, manufacturing issues, and new product design. * Develop and update the Design Quality Assurance Program, defining control areas and operational procedures. * Facilitate and lead cross\-functional (CFT) meetings to establish production plans and engineering deliverables. * Interface directly with customers on technical/quality topics, improvement initiatives, and audits. * Manage customer audits, internal audits, and compliance/regulatory audits. * Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and drive corrective actions for design and manufacturing issues. * Interpret control plans, FMEAs, build plans, and develop inspection plans for NPIs. * Collaborate with suppliers to address component quality and supply chain issues. * Particpates and mananges the Design Site Corrective Action process. * Visits and confers with representatives of material and component vendors to obtain information related to supply quality. * Confers with engineers about quality assurance of new products designed, and manufactured products on market to rectify problems. **The experience we’re looking to add to our team:** * BA/BS as an industrial engineer mechatronic, engineer, or similar. * Experience in a similar position as a Design Quality Engineering, Product Engineering, Program Management, or Supplier Quality. * Electronic industry experience. (components, PCBA, electronic product development). * Solid knowledge of Core Tools, APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, and problem\-solving methodologies (8D, Ishikawa, RCA). * Strong NPI experience — not only sustaining engineering. * Ability to manage multiple pilot runs and high\-pressure timelines. * Excellent communication skills with customers and suppliers. * Experience working with technical drawings, inspection plans, and functional test requirements. * Advanced English skills. * Strong communication and leadership skills. * Microsoft Office, some ERP (BAAN, FlexFlow). * Availability to travel (10% per month) **What you’ll receive for the great work you provide:** * Competitive Salary. * Life \& Medical insurance. * Christmas Bonus. * Food Coupons. * Saving Fund. * Life Insurance JM54 **Job Category** ---------------- Design, Process \& Technology Engineering Required Skills: Optional Skills: Flex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
