Our products, present across a wide range of industries, contribute to enhancing the quality of life for millions of people. **Job Description** * Responsible for developing, validating, and implementing packaging concepts for finished products based on customer requirements and plant guidelines. Additionally identifies opportunities in raw material suppliers’ packaging to optimize costs and handling. The packaging engineer identifies, develops, leads, implements, and monitors improvement and/or cost-saving or cost-reduction projects in logistics. * Validates bills of materials (BOM) to ensure all packaging items are correctly labeled regarding costs and relevance to production, thereby preventing price variations and/or inventory deviations. * Responsible for standardizing labeling requirements for incoming goods from the perspective of the value chain and the international product network. * Responsible for approving incoming goods packaging in coordination with suppliers. * Responsible for developing, validating, and implementing packaging concepts for finished products based on customer requirements and plant guidelines. * Identifies opportunities in raw material suppliers’ packaging to optimize costs and handling. * Primary point of contact for cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers on matters related to disposable/returnable packaging design and quality. * Supports analysis and tracking of packaging budget and forecasting (Business Plan, Current Forecast, monthly cost reports). * Identifies, develops, leads, implements, and monitors improvement and/or cost-saving or cost-reduction projects in logistics and cost-per-piece. * Applies problem-solving tools to recommend and execute solutions that overcome issues and meet customer requirements. * Supports implementation of packaging process automation together with support departments. * Responsible for benchmarking packaging activities and processes against other plants to promote continuous improvement. * Ensures compliance with central directives, plant requirements, and the Bosch Production System (BPS). **Requirements** General knowledge of packaging processes * Software proficiency: SolidWorks/AutoCAD/PackAssistant * Knowledge of warehouse processes * Knowledge of SAP logistics transactions * Knowledge of finished goods and/or raw material planning processes * Knowledge and skills in budgeting and forecasting development and tracking * Microsoft Office proficiency * Willingness to work in the Juárez area (95%) and visit the ELP warehouse (5%) * Learning agility and adaptability * Results orientation * Analytical skills * Global mindset: Future-oriented * Negotiation skills * Communication skills * Problem-solving skills: Intermediate * High sense of urgency * Customer service orientation
