This role requires a strong background in manufacturing processes, robotics, and automation, with a specific focus on applications within the automotive interiors and body\-in\-white domains. The manager will serve as a key technical liaison for the sales and marketing teams, providing expert support to define product capabilities, assist in client presentations, and ensure our solutions meet market demands. **Key Responsibilities** * **Team Leadership \& Development:** Lead, mentor, and manage a team of mechanical engineers and designers. Foster a collaborative environment focused on innovation, quality, and continuous improvement. * **Technical Oversight:** Provide technical direction and expertise in the design and development of custom tooling, jigs, fixtures, and automated assembly lines. Ensure all designs meet performance, safety, and cost specifications. * **Sales \& Marketing Support:** o Work closely with sales and marketing to understand customer needs and market trends. o Serve as the primary engineering point of contact for technical inquiries during the sales cycle. o Develop technical content, presentations, and product demonstrations to support business development efforts. o Participate in client meetings to present technical solutions and capabilities. * **Project Management Support:** o **Support project managers** in developing and managing project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. o Collaborate with project management to ensure successful and on\-time delivery of engineering projects. o Provide technical guidance and risk assessment to project teams. * **Innovation \& Strategy:** Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies in automation and robotics. Contribute to the long\-term engineering strategy, ensuring it aligns with company goals and industry trends. **Qualifications** * **Education:** Minimum **Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering** or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. * **Experience:** o **5\+ years of progressive experience** in a mechanical engineering role, with a strong focus on design and development. o **2\+ years of experience in a leadership or management role**. o Demonstrated experience in **automation, robotics, tooling, and manufacturing processes**, specifically within the automotive industry (e.g., automotive interiors, chassis, body\-in\-white). o Previous experience working directly with sales, marketing, or customer\-facing teams is highly desirable. * **Skills:** o Expertise in **CAD software** (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD). o Strong understanding of **robotics systems** (e.g., Fanuc, KUKA, ABB) and their integration. o Proficiency in reading and creating **pneumatic and hydraulic schematics**. o Knowledge of **manufacturing processes** such as injection molding, stamping, CNC machining, and welding. o Familiarity with **machine safety standards** (e.g., OSHA, ANSI, ISO) and **ergonomics principles**. * **Language:** o Fluent in **Business English**, both written and verbal. o Proficiency in other languages (e.g., German, Spanish, Mandarin) is a strong plus.
