The Technical Director must be hands‑on and deeply aligned with a highly technical team, so a strong technical, architectural, and development background is essential. * The Technical Director will lead and scale a multidisciplinary engineering organization, driving both technical excellence and delivery efficiency. This role requires a hands‑on technical leader with deep expertise in AI, modern cloud architectures, and full‑stack engineering. * You will oversee multiple engineering teams, guide architectural decision‑making, and introduce best‑in‑class engineering processes—including AI‑driven development practices. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership with the ability to contribute directly to architecture, AI initiatives, and code when necessary. This role also requires working closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure all solutions support the company’s broader strategic goals. * Availability to work in American time zones is required. * Responsibilities: Lead a team of 30 engineers. * Manage 2 team leads who oversee 5 engineering teams. * Define and review architectural solutions to ensure alignment with project goals and technical standards. * Design, implement, and continuously improve engineering processes, including AI‑driven development initiatives. * Advise team leads on development strategies, quality assurance best practices, and automation initiatives. * Collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives. * Monitor team performance, progress, and key KPIs. * Contribute hands‑on to architecture, AI initiatives, and coding as needed. * Requirements: Proven experience with AI technologies and AIDLC; must be comfortable guiding AI‑driven projects and teams. * Excellent communication and leadership skills, with proven experience managing multiple engineering teams. * Strong technical expertise in React, Node.js, NestJS, and AWS. * Solid experience in system architecture, engineering process design, quality ownership models, and automation strategies. * Deep understanding of SDLC and demonstrated success in optimizing team performance. * Track record of improving developer experience, establishing metrics, and monitoring KPIs. * Hands‑on experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD environments. * Strong cloud expertise, particularly with AWS. * Availability to work in American time zones.
