Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.**Job Responsibilities:** **Job Objective** Provide support in mechanical-electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, general welding, basic electronics, installations, and support to other departments; this position is strongly focused on supporting production in the aforementioned areas to ensure equipment operates under optimal conditions and to provide installation support wherever required. **Main Responsibilities** * Perform scheduled weekly preventive maintenance activities, submit the completed activity folder every Monday; if any activity cannot be performed for any reason, provide justification and reschedule the activity as soon as possible. * Maintain equipment operating in optimal condition during each shift and resolve any failures as quickly as possible to avoid production interruptions; request support when necessary. * Strictly control failure generation and elimination or reduction of downtime caused by such failures, maintaining a history and comparative analysis for review and follow-up. * Conduct random rounds during your shift to identify equipment with potential failure risks or possible damage, proactively address these issues, and coordinate with the shift supervisor to plan immediate repairs. * Consistently support the department in achieving its planned goals and objectives, as well as the company’s overall strategic plans. * Consistently apply the 5S process systems to maintain order and cleanliness in the area, and ensure other technicians in this area comply correctly. **Education and Experience** * High school diploma or completed technical degree. * Minimum 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician. **Required Competencies** * Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) * Experience applying 5S. * Ability to operate general tools, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, electric and oxy-acetylene welding equipment; knowledge of instrumentation and computing. * Service-oriented attitude. * Teamwork and ability to work under pressure. * Sense of urgency. * Experience with numerical control equipment, operation and programming. * Knowledge of paint application robots preferred. **Awareness, Unity, Empowerment:** ---------------------------------- At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
