Specialized accounting for civil works and construction **General Accountant – Construction Sector** **Work Location: Polanco, Mexico City** **Competitive salary (based on experience)** **Statutory Benefits** **Construction sector company**, specialized in **infrastructure and civil works projects**, seeks to integrate into its team a: **General Accountant (Experience in Construction and General Knowledge of Holding Structures)** We seek a professional with solid experience in accounting for construction companies, strategic tax management, and financial control across multiple legal entities. **Job Objective** Manage and oversee the group's general accounting, ensuring compliance with tax, financial, and accounting regulations for all companies, with emphasis on **tax optimization, financial control, and specialized accounting for construction projects**. **Main Responsibilities** * Supervision of **general accounting** for companies aiming toward formation of a holding structure * Preparation and analysis of **financial statements** * Implementation of **tax and accounting strategies** * Accounting and tax control of **construction and civil works projects** * Financial consolidation across multiple companies * Monthly and annual tax filings * Project-based cost control * Oversight of invoicing and tax compliance * Liaison with internal and external audits * Coordination with administrative and finance departments **Essential Requirements** * **Bachelor’s Degree in Public Accounting (degree certificate and professional license)** * **Minimum 5–8 years of experience as General Accountant** * **Mandatory experience in construction sector companies** * Demonstrable experience in: * **Project accounting** * **Project-based costing** * **Tax strategies and tax planning** * **Accounting for holding companies or corporate groups (desirable)** * Solid knowledge of: * Current tax regulations * Financial consolidation * Financial control by business unit **Required Technical Knowledge** * Specialized accounting for **civil works and construction** * Control of **project-based costs** * **Tax strategies for corporate groups** * Management of **corporate holding structures** * Calculation of federal and local taxes * Financial analysis * Budgeting and financial control Salary: Starting at $35,000\.00 per month Work Location: On-site employment
