DESCRIPTION **Position Objective:** Ensure the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods (footwear, accessories, and promotional materials) between distribution centers, plants, branches, and customers, guaranteeing compliance with the company's transportation and road safety policies. ### **Main Responsibilities:** * **Cargo Transportation:** * Operate fifth-wheel type units to transport finished products and materials between plants, warehouses, and sales points, ensuring proper handling and protection of cargo. * **Vehicle Inspection:** * Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle before, during, and after each trip, checking fuel levels, tires, lights, brakes, and overall vehicle condition. * **Route Compliance:** * Follow assigned routes provided by the logistics department, adhering to delivery schedules, itineraries, and traffic regulations. * **Documentation and Reporting:** * Deliver and receive cargo documents, trip logs, delivery receipts, and mileage or incident reports. * **Cargo Security:** * Supervise proper loading, securing, and unloading of cargo, ensuring items arrive in optimal condition at their final destination. * **Preventive Maintenance:** * Promptly report any mechanical failures or defects to the maintenance department to prevent operational disruptions. * **Regulatory Compliance:** * Comply with internal company policies as well as federal traffic and safety regulations applicable to heavy cargo transportation. * **Operational Support:** * When necessary, assist with loading and unloading operations or provide logistical support at warehouses or distribution centers. ### **Required Profile:** * **Education:** Completed secondary school (high school diploma desirable). * **License:** Valid Federal Class B or Class E driver's license. * **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years operating fifth-wheel units (Full or Straight truck). * **Knowledge:** * Federal transportation regulations * Logbook and shipping documentation control * Basic mechanics * **Competencies:** * Responsibility and punctuality * Safety focus * Discipline and adherence to rules * Honesty and service attitude
