JOB DESCRIPTION This position is responsible for consistently achieving budgeted sales, gallons, and margins in the assigned territory by preparing and executing an annual winning plan (SherPlan and Sales Excellence), working closely with internal suppliers (stores and/or distribution) to provide high-quality service to the Customer. Service and identifying/pursuing growth opportunities (projects/new accounts) aligned with the Division's tools/knowledge (Mkt) and segment strategy (P\&M) that contribute to the overall objectives of the zone, country, and ultimately the Division. RESPONSIBILITIES 1\. Gather reliable customer/territory information as a key input for the territorial planning process (SherPlan), updating it throughout the year. 2\. Develop a strategy to increase sales and profits for key, opportunity, new, and existing customers by allocating time and measuring progress in sales calls (what’s next and when it will happen). 3\. Conduct sales calls according to established pre-call planning (e.g., weekly, monthly, or My Sales when available), maximizing time and execution of SherPlans, seeking ways to deepen business relationships. 4\. Manage margins by identifying opportunities and balancing high-volume projects, ongoing maintenance projects, and the introduction of new products within their territorial customer base. 5\. Estimate individual customer potential for existing and target accounts to identify growth opportunities. 6\. Understand project life cycles and internal capabilities/constraints per account to improve monthly and quarterly volume and sales forecasts. 7\. Train customers on product knowledge and application by conducting competitive product comparisons and demonstrations (versus competition), identifying and showing our competitive advantage (software strengths/competitor weaknesses) to target accounts. 8\. Work effectively with Finance teams (C\&C) to open new accounts and manage account balances (including bad debts) per account, with Stores/Distribution teams to understand capabilities/constraints and plan/respond to customer requirements (including complaints), and with Mkt./PDM teams to understand market dynamics and opportunities, segments and products (projects and potential customers). 9\. Exercise good judgment regarding territory expenses (customer samples, travel, etc.) and submit timely reports to keep selling, general, and administrative expenses within budgeted levels. QUALIFICATIONS **Education:** Bachelor's degree or Chemical/Industrial Engineering. **Experience:** * 3\-5 years in Industrial Technical Sales * Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas. * Budget and sales/inventory forecasting experience. * Sales strategy. * Portfolio creation and management.
