Learn more about what DSO will mean for you in your new role here https://www.bayer.com/en/strategy/strategy **PURPOSE** Coordinate and execute projects, supporting approval and investment processes, and ensuring implementation, delivery to the customer, and capitalization of projects, taking into account planning, supervision, execution control, problem solving, safety issues, capital and resource management of projects assigned to the engineering team at Bayer CS NORLA sites. Lead contractors and suppliers to ensure their respective objectives and KPIs, as well as develop or import new management systems and tools. The scope of this position includes projects at Bayer sites in NORLA countries. **YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES** * Manage the engineering project life cycle, from conception to execution, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations. * Develop and maintain accurate cost estimates, assisting in budget and schedule preparation. * Provide illustrations and technical drawings to support project proposals and ensure execution accuracy. * Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and legal requirements for regional projects. * Coordinate the processing of permits, certifications, licenses, and any legal or regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., construction permits, environmental impact, MIA, risk assessment for civil protection, opinions from verification units, etc…) * Act as the main point of contact between execution engineers and stakeholders, facilitating communication and problem resolution. * Provide technical support and solid justifications for project approvals, ensuring all documentation complies with internal and external requirements. * Perform preliminary and detailed project cost estimates and ensure necessary documentation for approvals. * Coordinate the development of appropriate specifications for execution. * Provide Value Engineering focused on cost efficiency, timelines, and quality assurance. * Collaborate with engineering providers to ensure best practices and innovative solutions are applied to projects. * Generate macro work schedules and ensure alignment with stakeholders. * Conduct risk analyses, proposing mitigation strategies to ensure project reliability and safety. * Support the Project Design process in NORLA. * Document improvement opportunities and ensure implementation of enhancements. * Ensure necessary information is available in Bayer's project control systems for Cost teams, LATAM PMO, HSE, Legal, Production, Human Resources, and all others concerned. * Coordinate within NORLA Engineering the development of new management/design tools and coordinate applicable pilot tests. * Ensure related role KPIs are met. * Follow up on lessons learned process. * Coordinate the creation of 90-day goals for the Execution Engineering team and ensure their fulfillment. **WHO YOU ARE** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or related fields) with significant experience in project development and planning. * Solid project management knowledge, with certifications such as PMP or equivalent being a differentiator. * Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders. * Proficiency in technical drawing software and project management tools. * Analytical mindset and strong attention to detail, with ability to conduct risk analysis and cost estimation. * Experience working in multicultural environments and international projects will be valued. * Proactive, with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. * Fluency in English and other languages spoken in NORLA countries is desirable.
