Ensures that appropriate technical and service manuals and blueprints are available, up-to-date, and utilized during preventive maintenance, repair, or replacement procedures. Also holds overall responsibility for supervising a departmental shift or operation. Provides advice and instructions to subordinates. Communicates information to managers, peers, subordinates, and other departments. Serves as the department’s technical resource and trains both experienced and newly hired employees. The scope of a supervisor’s duties may vary depending on department size. Adheres to all company safety policies and procedures; reports maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents or injuries; and completes safety training and certifications. Ensures personal uniform and appearance are clean and professional; maintains property information confidentiality; and protects company assets. Assists in moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing over 100 pounds (45 kg). Climbs up and down stairs, service ramps, or ladders.
