Communicate company values and/or culture to new employees. Review and implement new reservation procedures. Process all room reservations, requests, modifications, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or email. Identify guest reservation needs and determine the appropriate room type. Verify room type and rate availability. Explain guarantee policies, special rates, and cancellation policies to callers. Handle and document special requests. Answer questions about property facilities and services, as well as room accommodations. Apply sales techniques to maximize revenue. Enter and access data in the reservation system. Respond to difficulties arising while handling guest reservation requests. Set up appropriate billing accounts in accordance with Accounting policies. Resolve, address, and document guest concerns or escalate or refer them to the appropriate person. Assist management with employee training, scheduling, coaching, discipline, motivation, and development, and serve as a role model and first point of contact for the "Fair Treatment Guarantee and Open Door Policy" process. Comply with all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; and protect company assets. Greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate their service needs and fulfill them, and thank them with genuine appreciation. Communicate with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; and answer phones using proper protocol. Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others. Adhere to quality assurance expectations and standards. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 10 pounds or less without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors. DESIRABLE SKILLS Education: High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate. (General Educational Development, GED). Related work experience: At least 2 years of related work experience. Supervisory experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
