Safety and Environmental Supervisor

Description

**Job Objective**: Ensure personnel safety on construction sites and compliance with applicable environmental regulations by implementing, supervising, and controlling preventive and corrective measures. Guaranteeing safe working conditions and proper environmental management throughout project execution. **Responsibilities**: * Implement and monitor the site safety and environmental program. * Conduct daily safety inspections to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and environmental hazards. * Halt work activities posing imminent risk and notify the Superintendent. * Supervise correct use of PPE by all personnel (employees and contractors). * Coordinate proper signage and safe conditions in work areas, warehouses, and machinery zones. * Maintain records of safety logs, attendance at safety talks, and incident reports. * Manage permits and safety conditions for high-risk tasks (e.g., working at heights, excavations, machinery operation). * Coordinate emergency response plans (evacuation, first aid, incident response). * Prepare for and attend internal and external audits. * Maintain documented evidence of all performed activities. **Requirements**: * Reside in Playa del Carmen or nearby area * Minimum 2–4 years of experience in construction site safety and environmental management (experience in housing/public works projects preferred). * Education in Industrial Safety, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field. * Knowledge of applicable NOM-STPS regulations for construction sites and basic environmental legislation. * Experience implementing safety programs and conducting field supervision. * Knowledge of PPE usage and control, waste management (RP and RME), and incident management. * Valid DC-3 certification required * DC-5 (Instructor) certification desirable **Work Schedule**: Monday to Friday: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm; Saturdays: 8:00 am – 1:00 pm.
