Identifies and implements improvements in accounting processes **General Accountant** Reporting to the Finance Director, the General Accountant is responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and efficiency of accounting processes. This role oversees daily accounting operations, monthly closings, payroll and tax processes, as well as management of the accounting team, including the Junior Accountant. **Key Responsibilities:** * Maintain and supervise proper management of the general ledger, accounting records, and financial systems (Xero, Conta Digital) * Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including bank reconciliations and cash control * Prepare and review financial reports, aligning them with operational information * Support budgeting and forecasting activities, monitoring variances against budget * Supervise payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance * Lead tax compliance (ISR, IVA, IMSS, ISN) and support annual tax filing * Collaborate with leaders across other departments to address financial needs * Ensure preparation for and response to internal and external audits * Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes to optimize efficiency * Supervise and develop the accounting team **Profile:** * Solid knowledge of accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting * Experience leading teams and working under pressure with deadlines * High attention to detail and strong analytical skills * Excellent communication and collaborative teamwork skills
