Apply paint or lacquer finishes to surfaces generally made of wood, metal, plastic, or other materials to achieve an aesthetic appearance, protect the material, or meet company technical specifications and standards. **As a Painter/Lacquerer, you will be responsible for:** * Applying paint or lacquer finishes to surfaces generally made of wood, metal, plastic, or other materials to achieve an aesthetic appearance, protect the material, or meet company technical specifications and standards. * Preparing surfaces for lacquering by sanding and cleaning them to ensure proper adhesion. * Applying layers of lacquer, varnish, or paint using spray guns, brushes, or rollers as required. * Controlling the amount and uniformity of the applied product to avoid imperfections. * Performing proper drying and curing of the applied finishes. * Keeping the work area clean and organized. * Inspecting parts to ensure they meet quality standards. * Reporting any defects or issues identified during the process. * Complying with safety regulations and proper handling of materials and tools. **To successfully perform this role, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:** * 2 years of verifiable experience as a general assistant in carpentry, lacquering, and painting environments. * Completed secondary education or high school diploma. * Basic knowledge of types of wood and their applications. **In this position, it would be advantageous to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:** * Proficiency with general carpentry tools and equipment (drills, saws, planers, cutters, lathes, routers, polishers, etc.). * Proficiency with painting and fine-finishing tools (air compressors, gravity-fed spray guns, belt sanders, brushes, rollers, etc.). * General knowledge of inks, varnishes, sealers, and protectors.
