This position will be responsible for confirming the validity of engineering parts in the configuration of our railway products within ERP, PLM and Master Data Management systems. Prepare technical drawing packages for quoting parts supporting Alstom's Services business line. Create part numbers to meet information needs of various customers across the North America region. **Your responsibilities will include:** * Analyze part requests from customers in Mexico, United States, and Canada and identify the appropriate deliverable for each requirement. * Extract information from various information systems to assemble technical documentation packages used in part quotation. * Analyze engineering drawings and technical specifications to validate part effectiveness in the bill of materials (BOM). * Identify the location of technical information in various information systems through analysis of input data. * Create part numbers in ERP and PLM systems. * Communicate information requirements to sales representatives to complete part/package creation. * Consult with Design Engineering teams on cases of part obsolescence or equivalency. * Maintain process performance indicators. **As our ideal candidate you possess:** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field) at minimum. * Advanced spoken and written English (must be able to conduct business conversations in a multicultural environment). * 1 year of experience in creating or managing technical documentation (engineering drawings, standards, material lists/BOMs). * Intermediate knowledge of IT tools such as Excel, Outlook, SharePoint. * Interest in working in a computer-based environment. * Attention to detail. * Time management skills. * Ability to work in a team.
