




**Mining Planning and Operations Engineer** **Location:** Tulancingo, Hidalgo **Salary:** $28,000–$30,000 gross monthly **Schedule:** Mon–Fri 9:00 AM–6:00 PM | Sat 9:00 AM–2:00 PM **Benefits:** Statutory benefits, with real opportunities for growth **Position Overview** We are seeking a **Mining Planning and Operations Engineer with proven open-pit mining experience**. This position requires a **fully technical professional**, with hands-on expertise in field mining operations and in-depth knowledge of rock materials, working benches, extraction processes, and operational control. The candidate must be capable of **planning, executing, and supervising** mining activities to ensure efficiency, safety, and technical compliance. This role is entirely operational; a strong preference for fieldwork and direct experience in active mining operations is required. **Essential Requirements** **Only candidates meeting all the following criteria will be considered:** * Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Civil Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field. * **Minimum 5 years of technical experience in open-pit mining (mandatory).** * Proven experience in **mining planning, design, and execution of mining plans.** * Solid proficiency in **mining cartography in Mexico**, terrain analysis, and blueprint interpretation. * Proficiency in **AutoCAD, Google Earth**, and preferably mapping or modeling software. * Advanced **Excel** skills for database management, volume analysis, and reporting. * Practical knowledge of **rock materials, drilling, extraction, and resource control.** * Valid driver’s license. * Willingness to travel to various projects (e.g., Córdoba, Puebla, Querétaro, Tlaxcala, among others). **Key Technical Responsibilities** * Design and execute **mining plans**, based on terrain surveys and technical analysis. * Directly supervise **field extraction operations**, verifying processes, safety, and efficiency. * Identify, evaluate, and forecast **rock material deposits**. * Calculate areas, volumes, elevations, and other variables essential for exploitation. * Coordinate operational personnel and verify that activities align with planning. * Maintain technical records of **diesel, machinery, spare parts, and operational consumables**. * Prepare technical reports and site inspections across various deposits and projects. * Ensure compliance with technical, environmental, and safety standards. **What We Seek in Your Work Approach** * Organization and ability to structure technical processes. * Respectful and functional leadership to coordinate field teams. * Decision-making capability grounded in data and real-time mine conditions. * Strict focus on operational efficiency and resource management. * Willingness to relocate across different mining zones as required. **Position Objective** To ensure that **open-pit mining planning and operations** are conducted technically, efficiently, and safely—guaranteeing appropriate resource control and directly contributing to company productivity and growth.
