**Position: Welder** Perform welding and/or repair of parts or subassemblies according to blueprints and technical specifications, using SMAW and FCAW welding processes. **Main duties and responsibilities** * Prepare joints for welding by using grinders, rectifiers, or other necessary tools. * Apply welding in horizontal positions and on flat surfaces using SMAW (shielded metal arc welding) or FCAW (flux-cored arc welding) processes. * Correctly interpret welding symbols on blueprints and technical specifications. * Repair cast parts by proper preparation and application of the appropriate welding process (SMAW or FCAW). * Perform cleaning, grinding, and finishing of welded parts according to quality acceptance criteria. * Balance hammers or bars by adding material through welding or removing weight with a grinder as required. * Grind cast parts requiring flatness, such as grinding wheels and wedges. * Assist in other job-related activities as required by the nature of the work or department. **Requirements** * **Education:** Completed secondary school or high school diploma (welding course or certification preferred). * **Experience:** Minimum 1 year in structural or industrial maintenance welding. * **Technical knowledge:** * SMAW and FCAW welding processes. * Interpretation of blueprints and welding symbols. * Use of power tools (grinder, rectifier, sander). * Basic knowledge of metallurgy and industrial safety. * Use of: Tape measure, Grinder, Rectifier, Mini grinder, Drill. **CONTRACT** Fixed-term Job type: Full-time, Temporary or fixed-term project Contract duration: 12 months Salary: $9,299.00 - $9,300.00 per month Benefits: * Grocery vouchers Work location: On-site employment
