**Job Description Summary** =========================== GE Aerospace is seeking a Group Leader. The Group Leader is responsible for tracking the production plan for GE's HMO operations on CNC machines and non-CNC operations such as washing, CMM, and manual measurements for the aerospace industry. Provide and track tools, measuring devices, documentation, and materials required by CNC operators and CNC technicians. Support compliance with quality, safety, equipment, autonomous maintenance, and supply standards. Contribute to adherence to and implementation of the Code of Ethics, as well as respect for and compliance with the Quality Policy, Health and Safety regulations, and the Quality Management System. If you require a more formal version (e.g., for a job description) or a more concise version, I can adjust it accordingly.**Job Description** =================== Responsibilities: * Capable of executing, supervising, and training in CNC machining operations, performing all setup operations, fixture assembly, and support to verify the quality of manufactured parts. * Capable of operating and supervising machines according to process sheets, work instructions, or other requirements (customer specifications, engineering drawings, etc.). * Verify autonomous maintenance, complying with TPM documentation instructions and ensuring proper execution of 5S. * Select and load the correct CNC program per work instruction into the program manager or in MDA mode, paying special attention to machine CNC units configured prior to program execution. * Verify availability of all manufacturing documentation and provide it as needed (travelers, first-article inspections, etc.) to manufacture products meeting quality requirements; inspect and verify work before sending it for inspection, and if nonconforming, process it via nonconforming material procedures. * Verify documentation and release (buyoff) of operations performed by CNC operators and CNC technicians. * Verify operations in SAP. * Contribute to meeting time and schedule standards for assigned work. * Notify the production leader of any issues that arise. * Capable of executing and supervising non-CNC tasks, such as part and cutting tool washing, quality inspection, cutting tool calibration, etc. * Verify required dimensions and geometric tolerances (GD\&T) to correctly achieve runout and flatness on the CNC machine. * Prior to inspecting parts, verify use of properly calibrated and labeled measuring instruments, with valid calibration dates issued by the metrology department. * Ensure tool crib provides all necessary cutting tools so they are available at CNC machines for installation or replacement per the production plan. * Contribute to maintaining safe operations by complying with safety procedures and regulations. * Contribute to shift continuity by documenting and communicating ongoing actions, irregularities, and needs. * Document actions by completing production and quality records. * Generate production reports. * Track attendance of CNC operators and CNC technicians. * Update job knowledge by participating in training. * Request training for CNC operators and CNC technicians when necessary. * Verify correct chip container for the workpiece and store chips properly in the collection room. * Report any defect in the part and/or machine, unsafe condition, or unsafe act to the immediate supervisor. Requirements: * CNC machining experience preferred. * 3–5 years of experience in a similar position. * Ability to manage personnel and resolve conflicts. * Experience in turning and milling; airfoil milling experience preferred. * Knowledge of Industrial Safety. Crane and hoist operation and handling experience preferred. * Ability to safely handle and transport containers with coolant and soluble solutions. * Reading pressure gauges: pneumatic and hydraulic pressure.
