Configures CNC machines (lathes/milling machines), including tooling setup, fixtures, and parameter adjustments. Selects and registers first-purchase tools for tool crib. Analyzes and improves cycle times and machining efficiency. Performs preventive maintenance routines and equipment adjustments. Responsible for developing and maintaining Flowcharts and Process Charts, PFMEA. Responsible for developing and updating operator instructions. Responsible for developing and updating Setup Sheets. Responsible for planning, developing, and maintaining Manufacturing Processes (time studies, line balancing, ergonomics, layouts). Responsible for training team leads and operators on assembly equipment operation (launches, engineering changes). Responsible for implementing and tracking engineering changes in the machine shop process. Responsible for reviewing Bill of Materials (B.O.M). Responsible for participating in plant-wide continuous improvement programs. Responsible for continuously seeking ways to make manufacturing processes leaner. Responsible for analyzing tooling and equipment capabilities for new part numbers and quoted volume changes. Responsible for controlling all customer-supplied products. Responsible for conducting capability studies for tooling and equipment. Actively participates in plant-wide continuous improvement programs: Kaizen, improvement ideas, 5S, LPAs, Audits, Safety and Environmental Platform, RMAs, CCSI’s, waste reduction, Heijunka, training programs; and ensures results are reflected in company metrics. Responsible for complying with regulations and all standards, as well as actively participating in all safety, hygiene, environmental protection, and Quality Management System-related events and trainings (based on ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485, AS9100, ISO 14001, UL, ATEX, CSA, ABS, 21 CFR 820, etc.). Complies with Internal Work Regulations (RIT) and the company escalation system. Complies with the company Code of Conduct and Ethics. Aligns with the company Strategic Map. Authority to stop any process where there is potential to harm the environment, safety, and/or quality beyond legal compliance. **Requirements:** Education Level: Bachelor’s degree, Industrial/Mechatronics/Manufacturing Engineer Professional Experience: 5 years or more in a similar position. Specific Knowledge and Skills: Advanced practical knowledge of mechanical design, FEA, geometric tolerancing (GD&T and Isostatism), metrology, machine control, and metallurgy (desirable) Drawing software, computer packages. Time and motion/process studies, line balancing Knowledge of electrical and mechanical testing Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Proficiency in specialized design software (SolidWorks and AutoCAD) Project execution and justification Experience with DFM, Lean/Six Sigma principles and Design of Experiments, minimum Yellow Belt certification.
