Underground Mine Planning Manager

**Underground Mine Planning Manager** **Position Objective:** Plan, coordinate, and control short-, medium-, and long-term mining planning activities at an underground mine, ensuring resource optimization, achievement of production, cost, safety, and applicable regulatory targets aligned with the mining unit’s business plan. **Key Responsibilities:** * Develop and update mining plans (short-, medium-, and long-term), considering reserves, mining sequences, grades, dilution, recovery, and operational capacity. * Prepare operating and capital budgets (OPEX and CAPEX) related to mining planning. * Integrate geological, geotechnical, topographic, and operational information to support decision-making. * Monitor production plan compliance and analyze variances (tonnage, grade, costs). * Propose technical and operational adjustments to improve productivity, safety, and profitability. * Incorporate construction and maintenance projects for long-term infrastructure relevant to the mining plan. * Prepare technical and executive reports for senior management. * Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and mining concession regulations. * Supervise and develop the planning team, fostering technical competencies and collaboration. **Academic Qualifications:** * Degree in Mining Engineering, Geosciences Engineering, or related field. * Intermediate English proficiency. **Experience:** * Minimum 5–7 years of experience in design and planning of underground mining operations. **Technical Knowledge:** * Short-, medium-, and long-term underground mining planning. * Underground infrastructure design (ramps, drifts, ground support, etc.). * Basic primary and secondary ventilation. * Reserve and resource evaluation. * Underground mining methods. * Cost and budget control. * Mining and safety regulations (STPS). * Specialized software (Vulcan, Deswik, MineSight, etc.). **Skills:** * Technical leadership. * Analytical and strategic thinking. * Data-driven decision-making. * Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams. * Project management. * Results orientation and continuous improvement. **Benefits:** Competitive salary.
