Lead and manage the in-line assembly process on the production line **Job Description** **Overview:** Responsible for ensuring proper assembly of the medical kit following established processes and methods. This includes coordinating, managing, and guiding the work team in activities related to surgical kit assembly on the production line. As part of this role, it is essential to ensure compliance with established targets for Safety, Quality, and Production. **Key Responsibilities:** * Maintain continuous operation of your production line. * Prepare required documentation to initiate product assembly. * Perform first-piece sampling and distribute the sample across assembly stations. * Provide assembly instructions for the product to each member of your line team. * Ensure line clearance has been performed at both the start and end of each product run. * Verify that work instructions have been understood by your team; this includes inspecting a part and/or machine parameters used on the line. * Perform returns (when applicable) * Accurately and timely record line scrap in the designated system. * Comply with FIFO (First-In, First-Out) requirements. * Track products held in C\-hold. * Timely record each processed order in the production control system (3M). * Monitor and resolve daily line issues (e.g., Line Downs \= 0, C\-Holds, Reworks \= 0, Scale Downs, Line Clearance, etc.). * Be available to support after your shift if any pending items remain unresolved during your shift. * Comply with company regulations, policies, and procedures. * Maintain effective communication with your team and direct supervisor. * Conduct meetings with operational staff. * Maintain active communication with packaging personnel. * Always treat coworkers with respect (core values). * Prioritize the safety of personnel under your supervision. Report unsafe conditions and actively participate in their correction. Reinforce with staff the avoidance of unsafe acts. * Comply with the 5S program. * Plan strategies when standard times for individual operations (wrapping, component placement, sealing) fall outside established standards. * Ensure accurate recording of doboy parameters. * Verify scale parameters. * Inspect surgical kits exhibiting weight anomalies or abnormalities in components used during assembly. **Required Knowledge:** * Computer proficiency * Basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division * Familiarity with the AS400 system * Production experience * Knowledge of quality requirements **Skills:** * Personnel management * Leadership * Positive attitude * Availability * Ability to work under fast-paced conditions * Strong sense of urgency * High work ethic * Proactive approach **Education:** High school diploma or technical degree.
