Our engineering and product innovation help keep soldiers and firefighters safe, is critical in building and keeping communities clean and helps people do their jobs every day.** Position Title: Assembly Production Operator **Description:** Ensure production area objectives by timely and proper execution of standardized work at the station, observing basic safety requirements without compromising product quality. All of the above while maintaining an inclusive teamwork culture. The operator reports directly to the Production Supervisor via the *team leader*. **Responsibilities:** Ensure adherence to the production plan by assembling components correctly, completely, and promptly according to product specifications. Execute activities described in the Standardized Work Instruction (SWI). Perform tasks in accordance with the Internal Work Regulations (RIT). Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) 100% of the time. Understand and provide feedback to upstream and downstream workstations regarding defects and product conditions. Perform TPM & crane checklists at the station. Ensure the workstation complies with the 5S standard. Follow instructions from the team leader and Production Supervisor at all times. Fully comply with all defined operational processes, including scrap reporting, non-conforming material reporting, near-miss reporting, continuous improvement, etc. Report any anomalies occurring in the process or identified at the workstation to the Production Supervisor. Minimize or eliminate material waste; exercise maximum care when handling electronic/mechanical devices. **Authorities:** * Authority to report and/or stop any activity identified as posing a risk to the safety of any person inside the plant—whether an employee, contractor, or service provider—and/or to facilities. * Regarding quality, the employee has authority to stop any process and/or work activity identified as potentially jeopardizing product quality and/or customer requirements—either during their own operation or in upstream/downstream operations. **Basic and Desired Qualifications:** o Prior experience in assembly lines preferred. o Proficiency in using basic hand tools. o Basic computer skills. o Ability to interpret drawings and diagrams preferred. o Gender: Unrestricted. o Marital status: Unrestricted. **Required Competencies:** o Adaptability o Commitment o Flexibility o Initiative o Participation in improvement o Teamwork o Optimism o Willingness o Builds collaborative relationships
