The platform supports moderated conversations, video interviews, and real time feedback to help organizations gather insights from their users and customers. The focus of the current phase is to evolve a legacy system into a more scalable and maintainable modern architecture. Position overview: We are looking for a Middle Full Stack Software Engineer to contribute to a platform modernization initiative. The main focus of your work will be to support the migration of a legacy application built with PHP and Yii to a modern stack based on Node.js and React. You will collaborate with the team to analyze existing functionality, translate business logic into modern services, and implement user facing components. You will also contribute to building and maintaining integrations with external platforms. * Technology stack: Node.js * React * MySQL * PostgreSQL * REST API * PHP * Yii * Git * CI and CD tools * Responsibilities: Participate in the migration of a legacy PHP and Yii application to Node.js and React * Analyze legacy code and translate business logic into modern components * Develop backend services using Node.js * Implement user interface components with React * Work with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases * Support the development and maintenance of integrations through REST APIs * Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and product team members * Write maintainable and testable code aligned with team standards * Participate in code reviews and suggest improvements * Requirements: Experience working with Node.js in production environments * Experience building interfaces with React * Experience working with SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL * Understanding of REST API design principles * Experience using AI assisted development tools such as Cursor or similar * Experience working with Git and collaborative workflows * Ability to work with existing codebases and contribute to refactoring * Nice to have: Experience working with PHP * Experience with the Yii 1 framework * Experience participating in migration or modernization projects * Experience using CI and CD tools * Awareness of containerization or cloud environments within delivery workflows
